One Last Tear

She spends every day with tears in her eyes
Wandering alone amidst a friendly crowd
She walks with a smile plastered on her lips
I will never reach your eyes, the smile had vowed

Wondering why the joy never came near
She stopped her sorrow and shed one last tear

All those promises and all those vows
Were now just mere hollow words
Her trust is tainted as fear follows
Her faith just torn apart with swords

Wondering why she couldn’t hear
Songs of joy, she shed a last tear

Laughing at herself for being so naïve
She stomped away on her rosy glasses
There was nothing to do other than grieve
She was not the one to have strong grudges

Being drifted away from near and dear
Helplessly she shed one last tear

Blinded by the darkness so engulfing
With heart so down and mind so clouded
Desperately searching a last thread for clinging
With her emotions she just fought and battled

Deciding to fill void in her sphere
She wept in silence and shed one last tear
