Strangers in the Night

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 31; the thirty-first edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton. The theme for the month is 'Strangers in the Night'

Stranger, you are my love for tonight
Tell me, what are your secret desires
Revel in lust; let your senses take flight
Again and again, feel the rush, feel the fire
Need is the need of hour, just give in to it
Give up your soul, indulge in dark rites
Eager is cupid and you have irresistible me
Rearing to ride the pure pleasure tides
Show me what you have got, release the beast
I bet you it will be tamed, I will use the leash
Now don’t you share this secret with your girl
This is between you and me, our secret sin
Hearts do not matter, it’s all about the heat
Evade the rules, throw them out for now
Never ever think that you are in love
It’s all for the night, we are each other's delight
Gather your emotions and bury them for right
Heaven is in pleasure and hell is in sin
Together lets travel them as strangers in the night

Acrostic Poetry is where the first letter of each line spells a word, usually using the same words as in the title.

  6. Beautiful! I love it. It is so amazing... It's almost like a beautiful erotic poem but full of purity. Ha. I dont know what that means. But really liked it.

The Acrostic Poetry bit at the end was nice too. Really liked your poem.

  8. Acrostic? I have loved this format and have written a few poems..can you believe, I have written 55 fiction in acristic form!

One thing..the last phrase of the last line, I would have loved if you removed "strangers" and write something which just required ''in the night''. When you pick a phrase in acrostic, you mostly break them and use the pieces in the beginning and the end. As you have already used the word 'strangers' as the very first word on the poem, 'in the night' should be enough to conclude.

Too much Gyaan..you will hate me for this, I am sure :-)

    1. Whoa, I would love to read 55 fiction in acrostic, but in poetry wouldn't acrostic mean summing up the first letter in each line for the phrase rather than breaking it in to pieces.

I will recheck it again and Thank you for the gyan ! Really !

    1. Well Well Well, In one of the Bat I remember reading your comment somewhere that you don't gel with poetry much.

  14. Bold and beautiful poem. It was good even without the acrostic. Only in the end I noticed it was an acrostic. That only made me respect your skill even more.

  16. Awesome creativity. Also commendable is the fact that you did not compromise on the flow while sticking to the letter pattern. Very sensual and unapologetic piece.

    Loved it.
