New Dawn

Here comes a new dawn, washing away the night

Dreams replace the tears, a smile warms the heart
Tender steps in to a new arena, staring at the unknown path
To walk or not, to unravel or not, to trust what faith hath


Staring at it from the confined comfort of shell
A war goes on whether to dare the spell
Don’t be foolish prods the past
Take a step and unleash coaxes the present


Well it cannot be stronger than my cocoon
The peaceful haven where I can croon
It neither knows the path nor the destination
Wondering if can wander in the unknown amazons


Then it smelled the most delicious essence in the air
There at the end of path had bloomed a white rose fair
It desired to touch the flower, to kiss it and feel it
Its eyes on it and only it, cocoon now felt like a pit


Finally it crawled out and started toward the flower
Colourful wings it had grown, may be flower’s power?
As it reached its destiny, it turned to a butterfly
May be, just maybe it was meant to comply


It’s your turn now to take that leap of faith
For the new dawn has brought miracles straight
Emerge as a butterfly, fly around the bends
For there is path before you and a destiny at the end
